Just wanted to say THANK YOU again for perfecting Rory's birthday cake. It looked fabulous, even prettier than the picture AND it was delicious too! It was a huge hit! :) I also posted pics of it on Facebook and it got many compliments too :) Thanks again!! And sometime soon Rory and I will be stopping by to try your very pretty (and I'm sure yummy) cupcakes :)

Marcelo celebrated his 1st birthday surrounded by friends and family on December 10, 2011. Marcelo was born with a rare genetic condition known as Lipidoses. Typically children with this diagnoses die within the first 6-months of life so reaching his first birthday was quite a miracle. Marcelo?s family wanted to make this Birthday as special as possible because it is unlikely that he will live to see another birthday. Through the assistance of Icing Smiles, Joanne McGuire from Sister?s Bake Shop in Frederick, Maryland volunteered to create this amazing Mickey Mouse themed cake for Marcelo. The family absolutely loved the cake and Marcelo had his first taste of icing. Yum! Thank you for helping to create such wonderful memories for Marcelo and his family.

It?s Jennifer Kurtz?you did the cupcakes/cake for our wedding one year ago yesterday. Everything was wonderful then and I want to tell you how much we enjoyed the cake all over again!! We wrapped the cake and it?s been in the freezer for a year?we cut into yesterday and wow, it was still so good!!! And thank you for the nice surprise of the chocolate icing in the middle of the white. That was wonderful!
As far as we?re concerned, it definitely passed our freezer test!!

The huge holiday cake and the red velvet cake made by you were a hit with our bidders during the cake/dessert auction after our 8th grade's Spaghetti dinner fundraiser. I was the one who won the bid for your holiday cake that I wanted to donate to the Middle School department, but unfortunately my kids could not resist eating your cake. Ha! It was so moist and the amount of frosting was just right. Thank you, JoAnn again for your cakes! I will be back again!

Hi JoAnn,Thank you for getting back to us so quickly! The kids loved reading your responses and have written a newspaper article about your bakery. We will drop by a copy and email you the link as well. Also, in our taste test of holiday cookies, your bakery won in a LANDSLIDE vs. Moxie and Uncle Ralph's. Of my 19 students, 18 voted for yours as the best. The "mmmmmmmmm's" were heard all around the room when they sampled your cookies. :) Thank you so much again for supporting my students! You did a fantastic job on the special cake for my dad's 90th birthday. In his younger years he loved to fish and also has a thing for pigs. So the fisherman sitting in his row boat catching a pig came out just beautiful.
